Series: Alice and Megan

A new Alice and Megan story!

Alice and Megan are back together again! When they are together, they can handle anything!

Grace invites Alice and Megan to spend Easter in her house in Lanzarote. The girls are accidentally left home-alone for two days in the house. It’s fun at first, until they become trapped on an upstairs balcony and spend a long cold night and day waiting to be rescued!

Meanwhile Melissa is still unhappy at boarding school. Alice wants to help her to get back to their school, but Megan sees this as a betrayal. Tension mounts between the two girls, until Megan gives in and agrees to help. In the end, Melissa comes back, and Megan realises that she is confident enough to stand up to her.

Irish Independent

a lovely light read full of fun and friendship with drama and a frequently teary-eyed Megan. A prime example of why this series is a best-seller

Inis Magazine

a real page turner full of wit and charm

CBI Recommended Reads Guide 2014

this is another brilliant instalment in this series and it was great to read about Alice and Megan again. It is a lovely story about loyalty and, above all, friendship

Bookbabblers

I thought Viva Alice was good because it was about family, friends and loyalty. I dislike Melissa because she used jealousy as a tool to bully. I highly recommend this book and I rate Viva Alice 9/10

Viva Alice! was a fabulous story of friendship, loyalty and family, and most of all it was funny

Books with Bunny

Alice is a certified lunatic, but I love her to bits … this is the first time I've met her and her friends, and it's not going to be the last

Nayu's Reading Corner

a cheerful and good-humoured holiday story which is sure to appeal to Curtin's already devoted fan base. The small and basic black-lined illustrations by Woody Fox add fun to the tale and emphasise its overall warm and "girly" feel. With this latest addition, the Alice and Megan series continues to be entertaining and inviting for readers

The Looking Glass

a charming girly series about best friends and it's perfect for readers of 9+. Whatever the problem, the friends can cope - and with a dollop of humour for good measure. A deservedly popular series

Yippee! For five years, Judi Curtin’s legions of fans have been hoping for another Alice and Megan story and now that it’s finally arrived, it doesn’t disappoint. After seven stories (and an Alice and Megan cookbook) the best friend duo went into literary hibernation while Judi took us on Eva’s Journey … However, while Eva has developed into a firm friend, there was never really any question but that Alice and Megan were the original and best-loved characters created by one-time Cork resident Judi … Just one request, Judi Curtin – don’t leave it another five years until the next adventure please!
