BEYOND THE PORTAL
Milo’s ghostly buddy, Mister Lewis, appears in the town’s ancient castle, but he’s not alone. He’s in trouble and needs Milo’s help.
Things get very complicated when Milo’s teacher, Miss Lee, accidentally wakes some raging chieftains from long ago. And then she disappears.
Mister Lewis takes Milo and Shane through the castle time portal ... into a MILO ADVENTURE.
it engaged me immediately. The font is big and friendly, has cute illustrations and the action takes off from the first sentence. The main characters are both infuriatingly naughty, yet I loved them both! The book is set in modern Ireland, which the children will love and will give the teacher scope for cross-curricular learning … would engage third and fourth class pupils
an intriguing collision of magic and history
a mystery misadventure which is as comic as it is spooky - a task not easily achieved … an amusing and absorbing start to what promises to be an exciting supernatural series … will work as a great introduction for young readers into Ireland's history and heritage … endlessly engaging and entertaining … an impressive fusion of humour and fright
gripping, page-turning supernatural adventure. The lively and engaging writing style make this an excellent series for reluctant readers
easy to read, funny and gives good descriptions of the characters … 8/10 … very exciting
