A whole crowd of us attended an advance screening of The Secret of Kells: a total feast for the eyes, and great to see those stunning images brought to life on the big screen!
Both books are now available from all good bookshops and the OBP website.
On the left is the cover of Eithne Massey’s novelisation of the film (using a variant of the movie poster), while on the right is the picture book, created with stunning visuals from the movie by Cartoon Saloon, Les Armateurs and Vivi Film.
Writer and director Tomm Moore, from the wonderful Cartoon Saloon, was present for the screening. Kila arranged and performed the music for the film, and band member Colm Ó Snodaigh was there representing them.
