ANNA CAREY is a journalist and author from Dublin who has written for the Irish Times, Irish Independent and many other publications. Anna’s first book, The Real Rebecca, was published in 2011, and went on to win the Senior Children’s Book prize at the Irish Book Awards. Rebecca returned in the critically acclaimed Rebecca’s Rules, Rebecca Rocks and Rebecca is Always Right. The Making of Mollie (2016) was her first historical novel and was shortlisted for the Senior Children’s Book prize at the 2016 Irish Book Awards and was followed by the sequel, Mollie on the March, which received rave reviews. Anna’s most recent book The Boldness of Betty was also shortlisted for the Senior Children’s Book prize at the 2020 Irish Book Awards and features a cameo appearance from our favourite suffragette, Mollie.
Emily Carson is a freelance writer and festival organiser. She has worked for the James Joyce Centre as the Marketing Manager for the Bloomsday Festival. This is her first book.
Born in 1994, Shane Carthy lives in the seaside town of Portmarnock in north Dublin. He has played Gaelic football at the very highest level, representing Dublin at Minor, U21 and Senior levels, and collecting five All Ireland medals to date. When he’s not playing football, Shane spends most of his time with family and friends and travels the length and breadth of the country sharing his experiences with mental health.

Dainty Dress Diaries was created in 2014. While brain-dumping potential names with a workmate, Catherine and her pal decided to go with ‘Dainty’ because Catherine is 4’11”, ‘Dress’ because all she wore was cute dresses, and ‘Diaries’ so that the blog could cover a wide range of topics.
In the beginning, Catherine mostly blogged about vintage style, fashion and homeware, but over the years she has become known for her warm personality and the unique creative projects she shares with her online community.
Cartoon Saloon is a Kilkenny-based animation studio formed by Paul Young, Tomm Moore and Nora Twomey in 1999. They are best-known for their Academy Award-nominated feature-length animations The Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea, but have also done a wide range of television programmes and some lovely illustration work for O'Brien Press books.
Seamus Cashman established Wolfhound Press Ltd in 1974 as a literary and cultural publishing house, and as publisher until 2001 won an international reputation for the press, earning many design, publishing and children's book awards over the years. A former teacher and book editor, his own published works include two co-edited and lasting volumes, Irish Poems for Young People and Proverbs and Sayings of Ireland. He is author of three poetry collections; That Morning Will Come, Carnival, and Clowns and Acrobats. He works as an independent publishing consultant.
