Natasha Mac a’Bháird is a freelance writer and editor. She is the author of the bestselling wedding planning guide, The Irish Bride’s Survival Guide and her latest book is The Irish Bridesmaid's Guide. Her first two children’s books, Missing Ellen and Olanna’s Big Day, were both chosen for the White Ravens Collection.

Liam Mac Uistin was a well-known author and playwright. His versions of ancient Irish stories and legends have been published in the Irish language by An Gúm. His plays for stage, television and radio have been produced in many European countries and in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. His television play The Glory and the Dream won the Radio Telefís Éireann award.

His stage plays have been produced at the Abbey and Peacock theatres in Dublin. His stories and plays have received many literary awards.

Liam Mac Uistin is the author of The Táin, (O'Brien Press) a hugely popular book for the young reader on this great Celtic epic.

He died in 2018.

Shona Shirley Macdonald is an award-winning illustrator/author, originally from Scotland and now living by the sea in County Waterford. She studied stop-motion animation at Edinburgh College of Art, and now works mainly on children’s books. Her debut picture book The Pooka Party was selected for the IBBY International Honours List, and nominated for a CBI Award, Irish Book Award and LAI Award. Her illustrated titles include An Féileacán agus an Rí written by Máire Zepf, which won the Gradam Réics Carló, and The Moon Spun Round: W.B. Yeats for Children, edited by Noreen Doody. Her work has been exhibited throughout Ireland in both solo and group shows, and internationally at the Bratislava Illustration Biennial.

Máire is the daughter of Terence MacSwiney, one of the greatest figures in Ireland's history, and Muriel, a member of the wealthy Murphy distillery family. Her fascinating life which dragged her from Cork to Germany, and then back to the gaeltacht where, as a teenager, she learned Irish before re-learning English. Throughout her life, both before marriage and later with her husband, Máire has handled a complex inheritance and forged her own strong identity.

Éamonn MacThomáis (13 January 1927–16 August 2002) was an author, broadcaster, historian, Irish Republican, advocate of the Irish Language and lecturer. He presented his own series on Dublin on RTÉ during the 1970s and was well known for guided tours and lectures of his beloved Dublin. He is buried in Dublin's Glasnevin Cemetery.
